Each of these pieces were written to commemorate the lives of people and a group of animals that were significant to me and the community in which I live.

Weinup was written to commemorate the atrocious immolation of many families of the iconic Western Australian marsupial known as the numbat by a fire ignited by the West Australian Department of Biodiversity and Conservation under their highly questionable biodiversity and habitat destroying Prescribed Burning program.
Elegy for Andre was written to commemorate the contributions to the Arts by another founding member of the Denmark Arts Council highly regarded visual artist and videographer Andre Steyl.Carlebel's Canon was written for my student Carl Perrin whose lifelong wish was to learn to play the piano which he acheived in his 70's.
